Founded in Spring 2021, the Baton Rouge Area Youth Network (BRAYN) is a collaborative of greater Baton Rouge area youth organizations and agencies aiming to increase our collective impact on the area families. BRAYN’s network of 60+ youth serving organizations is dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible, and equitable youth development opportunities. BRAYN was started by and for youth-serving agencies in 2021 with the purpose of bringing providers together to create a collective strategy, share and leverage resources together, and create opportunities so that youth, families, and our EBRPSS community may thrive.
The BRAYN Development Contractor will coordinate initiatives to develop grant writing applications and assist with other development duties.
Contractor reports to BRAYN Steering Committee, and ultimately to Gaylynne Mack, Executive Director of the Big Buddy Program.
- Identify new funding sources and complete the grant application process that align with the BRAYN mission.
- Develop and implement a fundraising plan that includes supervising the fundraising process, communicating with donors, creating fundraising activities, evaluating the process, and establishing strong relationships with donors.
- Assist with identifying, cultivating, and stewarding top donor prospects
Strong fundraising skills and experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Familiarity with e-systems and database management
Bachelor's degree preferred
Increase in funds raised for BRAYN positions
Monthly log of applications submitted, grant announcements reviewed
Monthly task, progress, status report to BRAYN’s Steering Committee
This position will be monitored by the Steering Committee. The monitor shall:

Conduct task review on a monthly basis to determine if the contractor is completing the requirements of the Statement of Work. All documents listed under Performance Measures shall be reviewed for completion and accuracy.
Participate in conference calls and face-to-face meetings with the steering committee on a monthly basis.
