{LSUS SPRING WORKSHOP} Measuring What Matters: A Practical Guide to Nonprofits Programs Evaluations

This is a two part workshop series that can be taking separately or as a series. This second 90 minute workshop on program evaluation is part of the cycle of continuous improvement. Program evaluation is an essential tool for measuring impact, improving services, and communicating value to funders and stakeholders. This hands-on workshop demystifies evaluation and provides nonprofit leaders with simple, practical methods to assess and strengthen their programs—without needing a background in research.

Led by experts from the Institute for Nonprofit Administration and Research, this 90-minute in-person session introduces evaluation tools and techniques that are both accessible and actionable for nonprofits of all sizes.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Understand the purpose and value of program evaluation
  • Distinguish between process, outcome, and impact evaluation
  • Develop measurable goals and indicators for their programs
  • Create a logic model
  • Use surveys, interviews, and other tools to collect data
  • Analyze and interpret results in a meaningful way
  • Communicate findings to funders, boards, and the public
  • Apply evaluation results to improve program performance and sustainability

Who Should Attend: Nonprofit program managers, executive directors, grant writers, evaluation coordinators, and anyone responsible for tracking outcomes or reporting on impact.

Format: In-person, (Online for those outside of North Louisiana) 90-minute workshop with real-world examples, interactive exercises, and take-home templates to support immediate application.
