    Bayou Community Foundation (BCF) invites you to join their “Growing Good Luncheon: Celebrating the Fruits of Generosity” on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Thibodaux Regional Wellness Center.

    Last year’s inaugural luncheon was incredible and Bayou Community Foundation is excited to share another heartfelt day of gratitude and impact with you again! BCF is bringing together donors, partners, local nonprofits and volunteers from across Terrebonne, Lafourche and Grand Isle to celebrate all the GOOD that GROWS HERE thanks to the incredible generosity and community passion of friends like you.

    Attendees will hear inspiring reflections from nonprofit leaders about the impact grants are making on residents they serve and from families rebuilding their lives through Rebuild the Bayou, as well as updates on critical BCF programs. It’s a feel-good event like no other!

    Nonprofit board members play a vital role in advancing the mission, ensuring accountability, and building a strong and sustainable organization. This two part workshop series can be taken separately or together. The first workshop is board development from a staff and founder perspective. Whether you're new to board service or looking to sharpen your skills, this interactive 90-minute workshop will help you to create and manage an effective board.

    Led by experts from the Institute for Nonprofit Administration and Research, this in-person session offers clear guidance, practical tools, and real-world examples tailored to the needs of Louisiana nonprofits.

    Participants will learn how to:

    • Understand the legal and fiduciary responsibilities of board service
    • Create board meeting, committee work, and strategic planning systems
    • Partner effectively with the board in achieving the mission
    • Recognize the characteristics of high-performing boards

    Who Should Attend: Nonprofit founders, executive directors and board chairs looking to strengthen board leadership and engagement.

    Format: In-person, (Online for those outside of North Louisiana) 90-minute workshop with case studies, peer discussion, and take-home resources for ongoing board development.

    Participants will review the key responsibilities of nonprofit boards, how to work effectively with staff leadership, and how to serve as ambassadors and fundraisers for their mission.

    Participants will learn how to:
    • Review legal and fiduciary duties of nonprofit board members.
    • Learn the difference between governance and management.
    • Discover how to engage in strategic planning, fundraising, and advocacy.

    Led by experts from the Institute for Nonprofit Administration and Research, this in-person session offers clear guidance, practical tools, and real-world examples tailored to the needs of Louisiana nonprofits.

    Who Should Register: Current and prospective board members, nonprofit founders, and executive directors.
